Kendall Gibbs

My name is Kendall and I am 21 years old. I was diagnosed at the age of two with LCA. My vision remained stable until I was about 15 years old. At that time I learned to use a cane and how to read Braille. Following this vision loss, I lost my father unexpectedly. I managed to stay strong, graduate high school a year early, and go to college in Arkansas. Eventually I moved to North Carolina on my own and am finishing up my Bachelors Degree in Social Work.

I have an incredible guide dog that helps me cope with my sight loss, and I am beyond grateful for every little thing in my life that I do still have.
